When choosing the material for the collection we offer, we took two aspects into account:
saving the values of the past and emphasizing uniqueness.
Every piece of SYRA furniture is made of recycled wood, in many cases 80-100-year-old wood, which is used after careful selection, in most cases from demolition, from the roof structure and ceiling of old buildings. In this way, we not only save the old values, but each piece also has its own story.
During processing, these decades-old, naturally dried materials are re-dried and sterilized using modern technology, and then sent to the production department in prepared sizes.
When making furniture, we combine traditional methods with the flexible expectations of the modern age: we use authentic structural solutions, taps, joints, while we solve the requirements of transportability and disassembly with modern technical elements.
We offer the unique, mature wood characteristic of the decomposed material with several surface treatments: after preparing the base layer, natural or pigmented hard wax seals it and makes the surface durable and unique for many years.
